What you will do

• Monitor and maintain platform health and availability across z/OS, z/VM, and Linux on Z environments.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for critical P1/P2 events.
• Plan and execute patching and compliance cycles with validation and rollback strategies.
• Perform performance and capacity analysis using SMF/RMF to recommend tuning actions.
• Automate routine tasks using JCL, REXX, and Linux shell scripting to enhance self-healing capabilities.
• Coordinate ITIL-based change records and maintain stakeholder communications.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on support for IBM Z platforms in production environments.
• Proficiency in TSO/ISPF, JCL, JES2/3, SDSF, and RACF concepts.
• Experience with z/VM operations and Linux shell scripting on s390x.
• English proficiency (Intermediate to Advanced) required for global communication.
• Familiarity with monitoring and automation tools like OMEGAMON, BMC MainView, or CA OPS/MVS.

Nice to have

• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, LPAR, OS, middleware, and network touchpoints.
