What you will do

• Enhance RxCLAIM/claim adjudication logic and related system integrations.
• Develop and optimize Synon/Cool 2E applications and COBOL batch programs on IBM i/AS400.
• Maintain existing systems while building new solutions for claims processing, eligibility, benefits, and pharmacy operations.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues; ensure stability and performance.
• Document system flows and business logic; drive code reviews and development standards.
• Collaborate on modernization/legacy transformation and integration efforts (EDI, APIs, and external systems).

Requirements

• Location: Remote in the United States
• 7+ years of experience with Synon development.
• Strong hands-on COBOL programming experience in enterprise environments.
• Extensive experience with IBM i (AS400) environments.
• Experience troubleshooting batch processing and high-volume transaction systems.
• Ability to take on leadership responsibilities if/when needed.
