Location: Remote (United Kingdom or Ireland); core hours 7:00 am–3:00 pm GMT; rotational weekend work and some meetings/projects outside business hours.

What you will do
- Act as an expert on Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and Russian geopolitical developments to improve AI models and associated data sets.
- Monitor and analyze the quality of data feeds in real time.
- Annotate and label complex real-time events and make decisions with incomplete data.
- Own and develop projects to improve AI model performance and AI tooling for real-time event detection.
- Collaborate with the team on daily priorities and communicate findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred focus in political science, Russian language studies, Eastern Europe studies, security/conflict studies, or a closely related field.
- Ability to monitor and analyze data with strong online research skills in Russian and English.
- Understanding of geopolitical risk and world events.
- Ability to interpret and succinctly describe ongoing complex events with incomplete data.
- Fluency with AI tools and LLMs, including using them to solve problems and improve workflows.
- Ability to work core hours 7:00 am–3:00 pm GMT in a real-time information environment, including rotational weekend work.
