Linux Support Engineer

What you will do

• Provide OS support to users of the hirify.global Enterprise Linux product portfolio.
• Troubleshoot complex, critical, and sensitive customer issues including booting, configuration, and installation errors.
• Investigate performance degradation and unexpected product behavior through root cause analysis.
• Replicate customer issues in a technical lab environment to develop optimal solutions.
• Communicate technical resolutions to customers via email, remote sessions, and telephone.
• Collaborate with global colleagues and engage with development teams on bugs and feature requests.

Requirements

• Fluent in English and Japanese (written and verbal)
• Solid understanding and experience with the Linux operating system.
• Expertise in high availability/clustering, storage technologies (SAN, multipathing, iSCSI, LVM), and networking protocols.
• Basic proficiency in Bash scripting.
• Ability to work on-call and weekends based on a shift rotation policy.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous workloads.
