Platform Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

Platform Engineer (AI): Building and optimizing the foundational platform infrastructure with an accent on AI-augmented orchestration and agentic automation. Focus on designing and deploying AI agents to eliminate toil, accelerate developer workflows, and multiply team delivery capacity within a Kubernetes-based environment.

Location: Must be based in Mexico (Remote or Hybrid in Mexico City).

What you will do

• Design and build AI agents to automate platform operations, including infrastructure bootstrap, incident diagnosis, and self-healing systems.
• Identify and eliminate repetitive human-in-the-loop workflows across CI/CD, environment management, and access provisioning.
• Support and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure on AWS EKS with a focus on environment hygiene and security.
• Utilize developer control planes to maintain paved paths and self-service actions for product teams.
• Strengthen operational excellence by monitoring SLOs and utilizing observability tools to improve system reliability.
• Develop platform services using industry best practices to enable operational excellence for data, CI/CD, and security.

Requirements

• Must be based in Mexico as no visa sponsorship or immigration support is provided.
• 3+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering with deep knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) and AWS.
• Demonstrated experience building multi-step AI agents or agentic workflows for operational tasks.
• Strong coding skills in Go and/or Python.
• Experience with GitOps (Argo CD) and CI (GitHub Actions) for multi-service systems.
• Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or CrewAI.

Nice to have

• Experience with service mesh technologies like Linkerd.
