What you will do

• Apply statistical and ML techniques to reduce selection bias and analyze randomized studies.
• Design and implement data models to measure ad performance across large datasets.
• Prototype new statistical frameworks and translate them into production-ready SQL and PySpark workflows.
• Work across AWS and GCP cloud environments to monitor and troubleshoot automated modeling jobs.
• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to solve complex technical problems.
• Utilize AI-driven productivity tools to enhance development efficiency.

Requirements

• Must be based in San Francisco for the duration of the Co-Op.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a STEM field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics).
• Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
• Proactive, startup-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn by doing.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong interest in applying data science techniques within the ad-tech industry.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python-centric code bases and data science toolkits (Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, scikit-learn).
• Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals (OOP, git, bash, computational complexity).
• Knowledge of Big Data stacks like Hadoop and Spark.
• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud providers.
