What you will do

• Identify and consolidate overlapping data needs to create reusable mart tables.
• Simplify complex data transformations to reduce redundancy for downstream teams.
• Build and monitor data pipelines using Python and GCP.
• Document schemas, lineage, and data contracts to ensure platform transparency.
• Manage IAM roles, data-access boundaries, and cost monitoring to maintain platform health.
• Mentor junior analysts and improve SQL proficiency across the supply unit.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Strong Python skills for ETL and orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, BigQuery, Git, and CI/CD.
• Advanced SQL proficiency including complex CTEs and window functions.
• Ability to design structured plans for improving tangled operational systems.
• Proactive approach to platform governance, monitoring, and reliability.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt or Dagster.
• Familiarity with AWS services like Batch, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Domain knowledge in supply chain or logistics.
• Exposure to data cataloging and observability platforms.
