TL;DR
Platform Engineer Team Lead (AWS): Designing and continuously improving platform infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation processes with an accent on scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native environments. Focus on leading Platform Engineering operations, enhancing GitLab CI libraries, supporting Kubernetes and multi-platform environments, and coaching team members.
Location: Greece, Limassol or Nicosia; hybrid workplace

What you will do
- Coordinate daily Platform Engineering operations and execute action plans against agreed goals and performance indicators.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve platform infrastructure, automation patterns, DevOps tooling, and CI/CD processes.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance GitLab CI pipeline libraries while helping development teams adopt CI/CD.
- Ensure best practices across Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, observability, security, and platform compliance.
- Collaborate with Security and other teams to remediate vulnerabilities and improve platform reliability, speed, and safety.
- Set team targets, provide feedback and coaching, mentor engineers, and support knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience with AWS, release pipeline management, Windows Server, Linux, certificate management, PowerShell, Bash or Python scripting, configuration management, infrastructure as code, DNS, and networking.
- Enterprise-level Kubernetes experience and solid Linux administration skills.
- Experience with Ansible or Terraform, CI/CD pipeline management, observability, modern application architecture, and blue-green or canary deployments.
- Experience with Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, MSK, and New Relic.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, organizational, time-management, cost-awareness, and continuous-improvement skills.
Nice to have
- Database concepts and Apache Kafka configuration or troubleshooting experience.
- ELK configuration and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience mentoring or coaching technical teams.
- Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Go.
