Platform Engineer Team Lead (DevOps): Leading the Platform Engineering team to build and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native environments with an accent on automation, CI/CD optimization, and infrastructure-as-code. Focus on mentoring team members, driving operational excellence, and ensuring platform compliance across hybrid cloud and Kubernetes architectures.

Location: Hybrid (Athens, Limassol, Nicosia, or Thessaloniki).

What you will do

  • Develop and execute action plans to achieve team goals and performance indicators.
  • Promote improvements to DevOps practices, automation patterns, and tooling.
  • Coordinate implementation activities and assist in cross-team collaboration.
  • Maintain and enhance GitLab CI pipeline libraries.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices across Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes environments.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.

Requirements

  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in Cloud (AWS), Release Pipeline Management, Windows/Linux Administration, and IaC (Ansible/Terraform).
  • Enterprise-level Kubernetes experience.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and people management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement with a focus on observability and modern architecture.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with database concepts and Apache Kafka.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or New Relic.
