What you will do

• Design engaging pages for 12 daily and four weekly publications using InDesign.
• Collaborate with editors across various publications to ensure clear and effective content presentation.
• Proofread all pages for spelling, grammar, and layout consistency.
• Implement strong layout and composition techniques to enhance the reader experience.
• Develop a deep understanding of the specific publications and their target audiences.
• Stay updated with design trends and contribute innovative ideas to the team.

Requirements

• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Chico, California.
• Keen eye for detail and ability to produce error-free designs.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in InDesign is preferred (willing to train the right candidate).
