What you will do

• Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes for data ingestion and transformation.
• Develop data models and schemas to support efficient storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with architects and cloud engineers to integrate data services into the cloud infrastructure.
• Implement data quality, validation, governance, and security controls.
• Optimize data processes and queries for performance and scalability.
• Support data scientists by providing necessary data tooling and insights.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer working with Azure data services.
• Excellent understanding of Azure data tools, specifically Databricks.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL tools like Azure Data Factory.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with data warehousing technologies such as Azure Synapse Analytics.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with big data frameworks like Hadoop or Spark.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
