Data Engineer (SQL/Python)

Location: Bulgaria, Georgia, Lithuania, Mexico, Moldova, Poland, or Ukraine. Remote and hybrid work options are available.

Salary: EUR 2,500–3,000 gross per month, depending on hiring location and experience.

What you will do

• Help design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines.
• Support data integration from databases, APIs, and flat files.
• Help ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand data requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot issues.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of practical experience or a relevant internship in a data-focused role is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language, preferably Python.
• Understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing fundamentals.
• English at Intermediate level (B1) or higher.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
