TL;DR

Technical Implementation Specialist (Retail): Providing high-level technical support for NCR R10 software and hardware products with an accent on troubleshooting complex production issues and database performance. What you will do

  • Manage technical support caseloads and provide 2nd-level troubleshooting for production systems.
  • Diagnose, recreate, and track software defects through internal systems.
  • Develop ad-hoc solutions and scripts to address production issues.
  • Mentor L1 support technicians and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers to improve system performance.
  • Participate in a 24/7 global support rotation, including on-call after-hours shifts.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a senior technical support role, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Strong proficiency in writing SQL queries is mandatory.
  • Technical background in .NET, scripting (PowerShell, VB, batch), web services, XML, and HTML.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and experience with Microsoft technologies (SQL Server, IIS, SCCM).
  • Excellent analytical mindset and professional communication skills.
  • Must be available for on-call after-hours duties.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience with POS systems, ESB, or SCOM.
  • ITIL certification or background in an ITIL-driven environment.
