What you will do

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sustainability strategy focused on environmental protection and carbon reduction.
• Create and implement robust environmental policies across pipeline, civils, and utilities operations.
• Ensure full compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
• Lead the implementation of carbon accounting systems to capture Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, supply chain partners, and clients to promote sustainability initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate environmental risks associated with infrastructure activities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in environment/sustainability roles within infrastructure or construction.
• Proven experience working within pipeline, civils, or utilities sectors (water/gas).
• Chartered or working towards membership of IEMA, CIWEM, or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in EIA, carbon reduction, climate resilience, and biodiversity net gain.
• In-depth knowledge of UK environmental legislation and standards.
• Experience implementing and managing ISO 14001.

Nice to have

• Postgraduate qualification (MSc or equivalent).
• Experience working on major infrastructure programmes or frameworks.
• ESG reporting and sustainability strategy development experience.
