What you will do

• Maintain and evolve existing DBT models and Python-based analytical logic.
• Navigate and refactor complex legacy data structures and reporting systems.
• Develop new data marts and dashboards within Metabase.
• Optimize complex SQL queries and analyze PostgreSQL execution plans.
• Improve data quality, consistency, and support replication processes.
• Establish a unified metrics dictionary and shared business terminology.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and advanced SQL.
• Experience with DBT or the ability to master it quickly.
• Proven track record in building and maintaining BI reporting using tools like Metabase, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Ability to independently explore and work within complex, low-documentation legacy environments.
• Strong analytical and structured thinking skills.
• English proficiency required for daily communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS DMS and PostgreSQL replication.
• Query tuning and index optimization expertise.
• Proficiency with the Python data stack.
• Experience building data catalogs or metrics dictionaries.
• Background in owning an analytics platform end-to-end.
