What you will do

• Design, optimize, and maintain complex T-SQL stored procedures, functions, and views supporting production applications and APIs.
• Analyze query execution plans and implement indexing strategies to ensure consistent performance as data volumes grow.
• Manage and validate structural database changes, including schema versioning and controlled deployments across environments.
• Diagnose and remediate production database issues impacting performance, availability, or stability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team on SQL usage and schema design.
• Ensure database practices are audit-ready and compliant with HIPAA and HITRUST requirements.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in senior-level DBA and SQL development roles for mission-critical systems.
• Expert proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+), specifically deep hands-on experience with T-SQL.
• Strong understanding of indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, backup/restore, and disaster recovery.
• Experience maintaining and modifying SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) cubes.
• Experience using Git and CI/CD practices for database schema and deployment workflows.
• Working knowledge of Azure data services (Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Blob Storage).
