What you will do

• Lead a highly skilled team of data scientists within a multi-disciplinary Agile squad.
• Oversee the implementation of predictive models and algorithms to calculate probabilities of sporting outcomes.
• Collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, and product managers to deliver innovative products.
• Mentor team members and drive staff development.
• Drive alignment on complex domain requirements and uncover edge cases.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related STEM subject.
• Proven track record of leadership and delivering high-impact solutions to complex data science problems.
• Expert knowledge of probability, statistics, and a broad range of ML algorithms (e.g., Monte Carlo, neural networks, random forest).
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages (R, Matlab).
• Must be based in London, UK for a hybrid work arrangement.
• English: C1 proficiency (excellent spoken and written).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of sports rules, strategies, and sports betting.
• Experience with MLOps (Gitlab, AWS, Docker) covering the full model lifecycle.
• Skills in data engineering, Rust, C++, and software system design.
