What you will do

• Own the technical vision and architecture for agentic systems involving multi-step workflows, memory, and planning.
• Design and evolve the internal agent orchestration stack, including tool registries, permissions, and state management.
• Define engineering standards for reliability, focusing on traceability, deterministic replay, and evaluation harnesses.
• Lead cross-team initiatives between Product, Data, Infrastructure, and ML to ensure delivery across organizational boundaries.
• Establish platform patterns for model routing on Vertex AI, caching strategies, and observability.
• Implement safety and compliance controls, including prompt-injection defenses and data access governance.

Requirements

• English: Professional proficiency required (written and spoken).
• Extensive experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Deep understanding of agentic patterns, including tool/function calling, orchestration, and memory.
• Proven track record of technical leadership and influencing roadmaps across multiple teams.
• Strong system design skills for multi-tenant architectures and data governance.
• Location: Must be based in France.

Nice to have

• Experience building large-scale evaluation systems, synthetic data, and human review pipelines.
• Strong understanding of privacy-by-design and compliance for user/content data (PII).
• Experience with retrieval systems (vector search, hybrid retrieval, ranking) and LLM cost-control.
• Familiarity with event-driven workflow patterns (queues, retries, saga patterns).
