What you will do

• Define and drive a multi-year application security strategy aligned with product roadmaps.
• Identify systemic security risks and lead high-impact initiatives to reduce risk at scale.
• Establish scalable practices for secure design reviews, threat modeling, and automated security testing.
• Influence senior engineering leadership on security strategy, risk tradeoffs, and investment decisions.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop high-caliber security engineers and managers.
• Utilize AI tools to streamline development while ensuring rigorous standards for security and code quality.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US and able to work 4+ days per week in the office.
• 9+ years of security experience (or 8+ years with Master's, 5+ years with PhD).
• 2+ years of experience managing high-performing managers or providing strategic leadership for engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in application security, including secure architecture and OWASP Top 10.
• Proven experience building and scaling secure SDLC programs in large engineering organizations.
• Strong understanding of web, mobile, and backend application architectures.
