What you will do

• Negotiate terms and conditions for subcontracts and manage payments to suppliers.
• Administer NEC4 Option A, B & E contracts, including tracking changes and compensation events.
• Perform full commercial management from pre-contract estimating to final account closeout.
• Monitor and report on contract performance regarding cost, programme, and key issues.
• Conduct site visits to ensure contract administration aligns with project progress.
• Collaborate with project teams to evaluate budget impacts and capture cost variances.

Requirements

• Significant post-qualification experience in Quantity Surveying within civil engineering or utilities.
• Proven experience delivering water and wastewater projects such as treatment works or pipelines.
• Strong commercial management experience across the full project lifecycle.
• Demonstrable experience administering NEC contracts including compensation events and early warnings.
• Experience in cost planning, forecasting, and budget control on large-scale infrastructure.
• Ability to manage and mentor junior commercial staff.

Nice to have

• Experience working for Tier 1 contractors or major water frameworks.
• Knowledge of Ofwat regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with infrastructure cost management and reporting tools.
