What you will do

• Evolve the Flow automation platform into an AI-native system where intelligent agents dynamically generate and execute workflows.
• Design and ship large-scale, distributed, high-throughput real-time systems serving hundreds of thousands of endpoints.
• Collaborate with Product Management and UX to define the roadmap and capabilities for next-generation IT automation.
• Integrate generative AI as a core building block and iteratively measure and optimize its effectiveness.
• Drive technical direction, architectural decisions, and raise engineering standards across the team.
• Mentor other engineers and act as a technical multiplier to help the team grow.

Requirements

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience, with 3+ years in Staff or Principal-level roles.
• Expertise in Java (17+), Python, or Node.js.
• Proven success designing and scaling large-scale distributed systems with real-time requirements and high throughput.
• Hands-on expertise in cloud-native architectures (AWS, Kubernetes/ECS) and large-scale database systems.
• Practical experience implementing Generative AI in production product features.
• Deep understanding of API design, streaming data, and event-driven systems.

Nice to have

• Advanced AI/ML experience, including model fine-tuning and training.
• Experience working on B2B enterprise products.
