Support Consultant (Public Safety)

What you will do

• Investigate, resolve, and take ownership of technical incidents.
• Perform fault finding and troubleshooting for DSX & Vision products at both hardware and software levels.
• Collaborate with 3rd line development teams and external providers for resolution.
• Execute software updates and upgrades both remotely and at customer sites.
• Manage technical changes (RFCs) in strict accordance with ITIL processes.
• Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation, workplans, and technical guides.

Requirements

• Must have a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.
• Ability to obtain and maintain NPPV3 and SC security clearance.
• Availability for a 24/7/365 shift rotation (including days and nights).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Business Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certification in a related technical discipline.
• ITIL accreditation.
• Experience with Windows 10 and Windows Server up to 2016.
• Working knowledge of MSSQL, including the ability to construct and analyze queries.
• Practical experience in TCP/IP network support.
