Location: Hybrid (Lagos or Abuja, Nigeria)

What you will do

  • Design and maintain BigQuery data models to support collections and portfolio reporting.
  • Develop and optimize Tableau dashboards for tracking recovery rates, DPD buckets, and agent productivity.
  • Partner with finance and operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable data products.
  • Automate recurring reporting processes to reduce manual effort.
  • Investigate data quality issues and reconcile discrepancies across source systems like CRM and core banking.
  • Monitor KPIs and provide deep-dive analysis to explain trends and inform recovery strategies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in BI, data analysis, or analytics engineering, preferably in fintech or banking.
  • Strong SQL skills specifically on Google BigQuery, including CTEs and query optimization.
  • Proven expertise in building production-grade dashboards using Tableau.
  • Deep understanding of the lending lifecycle, including DPD buckets, roll rates, and recovery metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to senior leadership and operational teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience with dialer systems, CRM, or loan management platforms.
  • Familiarity with Metabase or other BI tools.
  • Exposure to multi-market operations and data governance in financial services.
