System Analyst (COBOL/400)

What you will do

• Engage with business product owners to support product and customer service initiatives.
• Lead the technical delivery of assigned system development projects and ensure alignment with design requirements and timelines.
• Collaborate with delivery leads and engineering teams on architecture, design, and implementation strategies.
• Contribute to best practices and architectural patterns for the Life/Asia Admin System.
• Support junior team members with technical solutions and project execution.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in the insurance or financial industry.
• Experience with core policy administration systems, particularly Life/Asia or Life/400.
• Strong design and programming skills in COBOL/400, SMART/400 COBOL, AS/400 Control Language, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of life insurance policy administration features and functionality.
• Experience integrating core applications with sales portals, workflow systems, and underwriting engines.
• Experience in omnichannel integration, environment management, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication.
