What you will do

• Build and maintain WordPress websites, including custom themes and page builder implementations using Elementor or WP Bakery.
• Implement precise responsive layouts, interactions, and cross-browser support based on design specifications.
• Develop within a headless WordPress architecture, connecting the CMS to a decoupled front-end layer.
• Drive the migration toward a modern static-site front end using Astro or similar frameworks (Next.js, Nuxt).
• Optimize site performance, caching, and Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP).
• Handle technical SEO implementation, including schema, redirects, sitemaps, and internal linking.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of professional web development experience.
• Solid expertise in WordPress custom themes, components, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with headless WordPress and modern static/SSR frameworks (Astro, Next.js, Nuxt, or SvelteKit).
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Availability to work 9am–6pm EST.
• Must be based in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, or Chile.

Nice to have

• Experience with React for front-end components or microsites.
• Python knowledge with Django or Flask for small services and automations.
• Deep technical SEO expertise, including structured data and log-based troubleshooting.
• Experience with hosting and ops via WP Engine, Kinsta, or Cloudflare.
• Proficiency in analytics instrumentation using GTM, GA4, and conversion APIs.
