TL;DR
Lead Engineer (AI): Designing and building agent-based solutions from the ground up for AI-led insurance with an accent on scalable AI-native systems and agentic orchestration. Focus on building RAG pipelines, implementing AI evaluation frameworks, and driving engineering excellence through DevSecOps and AIOps.
Location: Hybrid in Australia (3 days in the office and 2 days working from home per week)

What you will do
- Lead the end-to-end development of AI agents and agentic orchestration solutions in production environments.
- Drive engineering excellence through strong DevSecOps and AIOps practices to ensure security, reliability, and resilience.
- Establish robust evaluation, monitoring, and observability frameworks to improve quality, accuracy, and performance.
- Build scalable, reusable components and contribute to shared frameworks, standards, and internal documentation.
- Optimize developer productivity through AI-powered engineering tools and automation across the delivery lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, product, and design teams to solve business problems using AI-native approaches.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in software engineering, machine learning, or data science within cloud-native environments.
- Strong programming capability in Python and TypeScript, with experience using modern AI frameworks.
- Proven experience building AI agents, RAG pipelines, or agentic systems using LLM-based development frameworks.
- Deep understanding of AI evaluation, observability, and optimization techniques to improve model reliability.
- Experience with AWS services and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools to manage scalable cloud solutions.
- Strong knowledge of DevSecOps, data engineering concepts, and working in Agile, product-led delivery environments.
