TL;DR
Middle Node.js Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript): Building a mission-critical accounting and tax platform with an accent on scalable backend services and serverless AWS architecture. Focus on migrating on-premises systems to cloud-native solutions and implementing complex payment and transaction processing workflows.
Location: Fully Remote (Must be based in Buenos Aires or Cordoba, Argentina)

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Migrate applications and services from on-premises infrastructure to AWS using cloud-native best practices.
- Build and maintain serverless solutions utilizing Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, EventBridge, SQS, and SNS.
- Implement complex integrations and processing workflows for accounting, tax, and payment data.
- Write and maintain automated unit tests using Jest to ensure high code quality.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver high-impact features.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Practical expertise in AWS services and designing serverless architectures.
- Extensive experience with the Serverless Framework for deployment and configuration.
- Solid knowledge of event-driven architectures and common integration patterns.
- Spanish: Native level required.
- English: Intermediate level required.
Nice to have
- Background in financial services, accounting, taxation, or payment systems.
- Experience with cloud migration strategies (lift-and-shift or re-architecture).
- Knowledge of AWS observability and monitoring tools like CloudWatch, X-Ray, or OpenTelemetry.
