What you will do

• Architect and design scalable, high-performance software solutions for global payment systems.
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale projects, from architectural direction to production deployment.
• Write efficient, maintainable code and ensure operational excellence in a "you build it, you run it" environment.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative, learning-oriented team culture.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and drive company OKRs.
• Analyze complex technical problems and implement innovative solutions to enhance system performance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering with a focus on scalable system design.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Melbourne office 3 days per week.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with microservices, Docker, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Solid understanding of IaC and CI/CD tools like Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Domain knowledge in crypto and digital assets.
• Experience with server-side rendering frameworks like SvelteKit, NextJS, or Nuxt.
• Proficiency in JavaScript fundamentals and Storybook.
