CTO / Lead Golang Engineer – iGaming Platform
Remote | Online Casino & Sportsbook Platform
We are seeking a hands-on CTO or Senior Golang Developer to lead the development of a modern iGaming platform consisting of 21 microservices, deployed on AWS and built primarily in Golang.
This is a leadership role for someone with proven experience in online casino, sportsbook, wallet, payment, bonus, CRM, or game aggregation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a small engineering team.
Own platform architecture and technical roadmap.
Design, develop, and review Golang microservices.
Work on changes and upgrade plans
Manage AWS infrastructure, deployments, and platform scalability.
Oversee integrations with game providers, payment systems, and third-party services.
Establish and enforce engineering standards, development processes, and code quality.
Implement strict security policies covering access control, secrets management, infrastructure hardening, secure coding practices, monitoring, and incident response.
Ensure platform stability, performance, and high availability.
Requirements
8+ years of Golang development experience.
Any PHP experience a bonus
Experience with microservices architectures in production environments.
Strong AWS, Docker, API, database, and DevOps knowledge.
Direct iGaming experience is strongly preferred, including casino, sportsbook, wallet, payments, bonuses, CRM, VIP, tournaments, jackpots, or affiliate systems.
Ideal Candidate
Hands-on technical leader.
Security-focused mindset.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving iGaming environment.
Able to balance architecture, delivery, and team management.
