TL;DR
Senior Software Design Release Engineer (Automotive): Leading the development and launch of embedded controller products with an accent on project management, cross-functional leadership, and technical integration. Location: Must be based in Milford, Michigan (Hybrid: expected to report to office at least 3 times a week)

What you will do
- Lead the creation and implementation of product development and release plans for embedded control products.
- Manage part number proliferation for software, calibration, and hardware components.
- Track project status, escalate risks, and drive mitigation efforts to ensure quality and timing.
- Lead product issue investigations and drive continuous process improvements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor team members in areas of strong proficiency.
- Support agile meeting ceremonies and cross-functional collaboration with vehicle manufacturing teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Mathematics).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded controls development (hardware, software, calibration, or testing).
- Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
- Proven experience in Root Cause Analysis.
- Understanding of HIL Bench Testing.
- Strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of automotive industry experience.
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR, diagnostic parameters (DIDs, RIDs, DTCs), and GVDP.
- Experience with Agile Product Development and Generative AI.
