What you will do

• Create principled algorithmic improvements to driving behavior and implement them in the code base.
• Develop strategies and intelligent behaviors to mitigate performance degradation under system failure modes.
• Architect and implement scalable solutions for seamless integration with the driving stack.
• Partner with validation teams to define and execute tests for developed algorithms.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience.
• Fluency in C++.
• Extensive experience with programming and algorithm design.
• Strong understanding of vehicle kinematics.
• Must be based in or able to work from Foster City, CA.

Nice to have

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience shipping commercial robotics, drones, or consumer devices to market.
• Demonstrated ability to create real-time motion planning algorithms in cross-functional teams.
