What you will do

• Produce engaging digital local news content for the Nottingham area.
• Provide live coverage of breaking news and deliver exclusive off-diary stories.
• Source and conduct interviews, take pictures, and film footage while reporting on patch.
• Curate strong industry contacts to gather stories from diverse communities.
• Utilize various social media platforms to make content engaging and accessible.
• Work on a flexible rota basis, including weekend and evening shifts.

Requirements

• Must hold an NCTJ/NQJ or equivalent journalism qualification.
• Must have up-to-date knowledge of UK media law.
• Excellent writing and storytelling ability with a keen eye for news.
• Demonstrable experience writing for a regional news title.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Nottingham.
• Clean driving licence is highly desirable.
