What you will do

  • Own the month-end and year-end close processes for assigned entities, including journals, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities such as general ledger maintenance, intercompany accounting, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial reports and support local board reporting requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external and regulatory audits.
  • Ensure strict compliance with IFRS, local GAAP requirements, and internal financial controls.
  • Collaborate with Tax, Compliance, and Legal teams to provide accurate financial information and support regulatory obligations.

Requirements

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) or currently working towards a qualification.
  • Proven experience in a financial accounting role focusing on month-end and year-end close.
  • Fluent in both English and French (written and spoken) — this is an essential requirement.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience working within a regulated or international environment.
