What you will do

• Draft and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, and workflows for back-end revenue cycle operations.
• Create current-state and future-state process maps for cost-recovery programs and federal billing functions.
• Develop RACI matrices to define roles, responsibilities, and accountability across enterprise and facility levels.
• Prepare compliance artifacts, checklists, and internal control documentation to ensure audit readiness.
• Conduct policy research and gap analysis to recommend standardized updates for DHA UBO business rules.
• Coordinate policy review cycles with DHA UBO leadership, the Process Action Team (PAT), and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of healthcare revenue cycle policy, compliance, or operations experience.
• Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Deep knowledge of charge capture, billing, collections, denials, and healthcare compliance.
• Proven experience drafting SOPs, workflows, and internal control documentation.
• Familiarity with federal and DoD policy development (DoDDs, DoDIs, DHA-PIs/AIs).
• Bachelor's degree required.

Nice to have

• Experience working within the Military Health System (MHS) or DHA environment.
• Knowledge of Third Party Collection (TPC), Medical Service Accounts (MSA), and Medical Affirmative Claims (MAC).
• Familiarity with MHS GENESIS / Oracle Cerner Patient Accounting (CPA).
• Knowledge of the Military Treatment Facility UBO Manual (DoD 6010.15-M).
• Master's degree.
