What you will do

• Design and deliver scalable backend systems across the payment lifecycle using PHP 8.3.
• Drive architectural evolution towards scalable, event-driven, and distributed designs.
• Lead complex technical initiatives end-to-end, from discovery to production.
• Champion engineering excellence through TDD, CI/CD, and continuous delivery practices.
• Mentor and support other engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
• Proactively identify and address system, process, and scalability challenges.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience with strong expertise in PHP.
• Proven track record of designing and scaling distributed systems in production.
• Deep experience with APIs, PostgreSQL, Redis, and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
• Strong understanding of cloud-native systems and Kubernetes.
• Solid knowledge of microservices, event-driven, and hexagonal architectures.
• High ownership mindset with the ability to lead and influence technical direction.
