Software Test Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Singapore. Hybrid work with at least 3 days in the office, with exact expectations confirmed by the Hiring Manager.

What you will do

• Plan, design, execute, and automate functional, regression, integration, API, performance, smoke, sanity, and post-deployment tests.
• Develop and maintain automated tests and utilities using Java, Python, JavaScript, Selenium, Playwright, Postman/Newman, JMeter, and similar tools.
• Test and troubleshoot full-stack B2B identity and access management applications across frontend, backend, databases, APIs, middleware, and infrastructure.
• Support QA, staging, pre-production, and production-like environments by validating configurations, analyzing logs, investigating defects, and improving platform stability.
• Support security patching, vulnerability remediation, dependency upgrades, certificate renewals, release readiness, deployment validation, rollback, and post-release validation.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, QA, security, operations, and systems teams within Agile/Scrum and cybersecurity processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• At least 2 years of work experience in software quality engineering, test automation, application testing, release validation, or platform support.
• Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, shell scripting, RESTful services, microservices, and relational databases.
• Experience with automation, API, and performance testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Postman/Newman, REST Assured, SoapUI, JMeter, LoadRunner, PyTest, JUnit, TestNG, or Cucumber.
• Knowledge of application security testing, vulnerability management, SSDLC, cybersecurity controls, CI/CD, DevOps, source control, containerization, and Agile tools.
• Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, Angular, Node, Bootstrap, Webpack, jQuery, HTML5, or CSS3.
• Familiarity with JBoss Web Server, Apache Tomcat, Red Hat Linux, MS SQL Server, LDAP, Active Directory, and Windows.
• Experience with SonarQube, Checkmarx, FindBugs, Black Duck, Veracode, Fortify, Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Familiarity with generative AI, prompt engineering, agentic tools, and AI-assisted testing automation.
