What you will do

  • Research and evaluate AI use cases for satellite integration and testing, including log analysis and anomaly detection.
  • Develop small prototypes, scripts, and proof-of-concepts to validate AI or data-driven ideas.
  • Analyze logs, telemetry, and process data to identify automation and optimization potential.
  • Prepare technical documentation and presentation materials for internal or customer proposals.
  • Support the development and improvement of internal tools and automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with automation and test engineers to understand and optimize real-world workflows.

Requirements

  • Enrolled student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • Basic to solid programming skills, preferably in Python.
  • Familiarity with fundamental software engineering concepts and version control systems (Git).
  • Must be based in or able to work from Bremen, Germany (Hybrid).
  • Fluent English proficiency (C1) is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience applying data analysis or AI techniques (e.g., log/telemetry analysis, anomaly detection).
  • Familiarity with Python data and ML libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
  • Background in AIT, aerospace, satellite systems, or space operations.
  • Experience with CCS (Central Check-Out Systems).
  • Basic understanding of project management concepts like task breakdown and effort estimation.
