What you will do

• Create original illustrations for editorial, digital, print, and recruiting contexts across various styles.
• Translate technical concepts and mission narratives into compelling visual stories and brand themes.
• Produce technically accurate illustrations of hardware, hypersonic systems, and manufacturing environments.
• Develop explainer visuals and cutaway diagrams to communicate complex technical subject matter.
• Contribute to visual research, moodboards, and art direction for brand campaigns.
• Manage and organize illustration assets within a centralized brand library for reuse.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in illustration, concept art, or a related visual discipline.
• Strong observational drawing skills and a consistent sketchbook practice.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma.
• Ability to execute technical briefs independently using references and engineering data.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, Refugee, Asylee, or eligible for ITAR authorization.
• Ability to work on a PC system.

Nice to have

• Experience in defense, aerospace, autonomy, or robotics sectors.
• Knowledge of Art and Graphic Design history.
• Motion design capabilities using After Effects or Procreate.
• Experience with large-format environmental graphics or event signage.
• Comfort working with 3D reference models or CAD-derived imagery.
• Eligibility for a U.S. security clearance.
