TL;DR

Senior Coordinator, Operations (Government Services): Driving the delivery and improvement of NCP PSU operations across procurement, systems, HR, and governance with an accent on compliance and stakeholder relationships. Focus on implementing standard operating procedures, managing operational risk, and coordinating grant administration for Indo-Pacific capability building.

Location: Adelaide, Australia. Must have authority to live and work in Australia.

What you will do

  • Implement and improve operational policies and SOPs for travel, fraud control, and budgeting.
  • Manage internal program systems, including document platforms and collaboration tools, ensuring compliance.
  • Coordinate procurement and contracting activities in alignment with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and company procedures.
  • Prepare operational inputs for contractual reporting and perform quality assurance on operational data.
  • Maintain and monitor program-level risk registers and coordinate regular risk reporting cycles.
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience, including work with DFAT or other development agencies.
  • Proven expertise in financial management, procurement, risk, and compliance management.
  • Demonstrated people management skills, including mentoring and coaching staff.
  • Must be a resident with authority to live and work in Australia.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in scholarships programs.
