Location: Must be based in the United States (Role is based in Livonia, Michigan, with potential for regional travel).

Salary: $31.8795 - $47.8193 per hour (approx. $5,099 - $7,651 per month).

What you will do

  • Coordinate revenue integrity and charge-related denials with the Patient Business Service center.
  • Perform routine chart reviews to ensure compliant and complete clinical documentation.
  • Identify revenue optimization opportunities and track charge-related trends.
  • Provide education to clinical colleagues based on audit findings.
  • Assist with retrospective charge reviews and third-party charge audits.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement front-end processes for denial prevention.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid nursing license in the applicable state(s) of engagement.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of revenue cycle and denial management functions.
  • Experience in case management and utilization management.
  • Customer service background.
  • Valid driver’s license for regional travel requirements.

Nice to have

  • Registered Nurse (RN) status.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years of charge audit, managed care, or patient payment processing experience.
  • AAPC, AHIMA, or CHRI certification.
  • Outpatient CDI experience and working knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR).
