What you will do

• Design and document scalable vision applications for robot guidance, part quality, and error proofing.
• Develop vision system hardware and software designs, including devices, power distribution, and I/O networks.
• Evaluate and validate emerging vision technologies and AI trends for manufacturing implementation.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for troubleshooting, diagnostics, and reprogramming at plant sites.
• Lead and maintain global machine vision standards across manufacturing centers.
• Partner with suppliers to identify cost reduction opportunities and improve system integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive technical expertise in machine vision, robotics, and automation processing.
• Hands-on experience with Zebra (Matrox), Keyence, Photoneo, or similar vision technologies.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex vision-related issues with high autonomy.
• Strong project management, mentoring, and communication skills.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Warren, Michigan.

Nice to have

• AIA Certified Vision Professional (Basic or Advanced).
• 10+ years of experience in the design, build, and startup of manufacturing systems.
• Programming proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 and NVIDIA Isaac or Omniverse simulation environments.
• Familiarity with Teamcenter or Siemens Technomatix Process Simulate.
