Senior/Mid Cloud Engineer (AWS)

TL;DR

Cloud Engineer (AWS): Managing an enterprise AWS environment for a backend system supporting thousands of mobile app users with an accent on Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines. Focus on automating deployments using Terraform, maintaining AWS services, and collaborating with developers to release new features.

Location: On-site in Quantico, VA or Huntsville, AL (hybrid possibility after 90 days). Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility required.

What you will do

• Manage an enterprise AWS environment supporting the development and operation of a backend system.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) capabilities using Terraform.
• Run CI/CD pipelines and manage various DevOps functions to ensure seamless delivery.
• Support developers with the implementation and deployment of new features and releases.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize application performance.

Requirements

• Existing Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI accesses with a polygraph.
• Must be based in or within commuting distance of Quantico, VA or Huntsville, AL.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with AWS Services (EC2, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM, ELB/ALB).
• Minimum 3 years of experience using Git to manage scripts and infrastructure configurations.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS CLI.
• Experience working with GitLab Runners.
• Strong understanding of DevOps processes and CI/CD pipeline architecture.
