Focus on eradicating manual toil using AI-native tools, evolving core architecture for scale, and ensuring high availability of distributed cloud systems.

Location: Hybrid in London, England (at least three days per week in the office)

What you will do

• Automate infrastructure challenges as software problems to accelerate R&D and eradicate manual, repetitive work.
• Plan, design, and execute generational architectural changes to core infrastructure to improve elasticity and scaling.
• Own the reliability of core services, diagnosing operational events and engineering permanent preventative solutions.
• Perform full-stack debugging, diving into application code to trace and fix customer-facing issues.
• Build AI-native leverage by using coding agents and creating tools that enable other engineers to automate toil safely.
• Lead complex, high-impact infrastructure projects from design and implementation to testing and runbook creation.

Requirements

• Multiple years of experience designing and operating high-scale distributed systems in cloud environments, ideally AWS.
• Deep knowledge of modern programming languages and a software engineering approach to infrastructure.
• Expert grasp of reliability, performance, and failure modes, utilizing telemetry to guide decisions.
• Proven track record of independently driving complex, cross-team technical initiatives from conception to production.
• Must be based in London and able to work from the office at least three days per week.
• AI-first mindset with a track record of using AI agents to accelerate coding and operational tasks.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
