What you will do

• Design, implement, and ship user-facing features and backend services from planning to deployment.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with comprehensive logging and documentation.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data teams to deliver measurable customer value.
• Improve system health by fixing bugs, reducing technical debt, and optimizing reliability and security.
• Utilize modern development tools and AI assistants to iteratively improve software solutions.

Requirements

• Professional software development experience (including internships or co-ops) building web apps or cloud services.
• Proficiency in at least one of: TypeScript/Node.js, Java/Kotlin/C#, Python, Ruby, or Go, and/or React with TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, HTTP, REST/GraphQL, and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Experience with Git, unit/integration testing, and debugging using logs and metrics.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Sofia office (Hybrid: 3 days per week).

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Docker, and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and NoSQL/caching (Redis, Elasticsearch).
• Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.
• Previous experience in eCommerce, MarTech, or large-scale SaaS.
