3D Rigger (Gamedev)

TL;DR

3D Rigger (Animation): Developing and maintaining character and prop rigging systems for the PAW Patrol series with an accent on intuitive control mechanisms and pipeline efficiency. Focus on collaborating with animation leads, implementing USD workflows, and ensuring high-quality deliverables within production schedules.

Location: Must be an Ontario resident able to travel to the Greater Toronto Area for hybrid work.

Salary: $1,400–$1,700 per week.

What you will do

• Utilize and contribute to proprietary studio rigging pipelines and tools.
• Design simple, intuitive control mechanisms for animators.
• Collaborate with design, layout, and animation leads to meet production requirements.
• Model and transfer blend shapes for secondary characters.
• Stay current with new rigging tools and methodologies.
• Ensure all work is completed and delivered according to the production schedule.

Requirements

• Must be an Ontario resident.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional rigging experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Maya rigging.
• Intermediate Python programming skills.
• Experience and knowledge of USD workflows.
• Functional knowledge of shader networks and UV placement.

Nice to have

• Experience with modeling for rigging.
• Understanding of cartoon animation principles.
