TL;DR

SDET / QA Automation Lead (Python/AI): Transforming a QA team into a strategic, AI-powered quality engineering function with an accent on test infrastructure, AI integration, and leadership. Focus on building a scalable QA roadmap, mentoring SDETs, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for Linux-based security products.

Location: Remote (Worldwide). Must be relocated from Russia and Belarus.

Salary: $6,000 – $8,000 per month

What you will do

  • Define product quality metrics and execute a strategic multi-quarter QA roadmap.
  • Expand test coverage systematically by prioritizing risk and impact.
  • Own the test system infrastructure and the resource strategy.
  • Mentor 6 SDETs to evolve from test writers into product quality engineers who own subsystems end-to-end.
  • Build a team culture centered on heavy AI and automation usage.
  • Restructure on-duty rotations to ensure they are equitable and sustainable.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in test automation and 2+ years leading QA teams of 5+ engineers.
  • Deep experience with Linux-based product testing (RPM, systemd, multi-distro matrix).
  • Proven track record of significantly improving test reliability metrics.
  • Practical experience building or integrating AI/ML into QA workflows.
  • Strong Python skills and CI/CD pipeline architecture experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Must be located outside of Russia and Belarus.

Nice to have

  • Experience with VM orchestration or cloud infrastructure testing.
  • Background in security product testing (e.g., WAF, antivirus).
