Staff Engineer — Custody Platform (Web3)

What you will do

• Design and ship critical platform components including policy engines, signing orchestration, and multi-tenant wallet services.
• Lead non-trivial cross-cutting technical initiatives through written RFCs, design reviews, and code.
• Build high-load, multi-tenant SaaS systems focusing on tenant isolation, rate limits, and concurrency control.
• Implement distributed systems reliability patterns such as idempotency, sagas, and event-driven workflows.
• Ensure security-by-design for compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and DORA.
• Drive AI-assisted development by building prompt and agent patterns using tools like Claude Code and Cursor.

Requirements

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience, with 3+ years operating at Staff level or equivalent IC scope.
• Strong CS fundamentals in concurrency, distributed systems, consistency models, and networking.
• Proficiency in a modern systems language (Go, Rust, Java, or C++) with readiness to work in Go.
• Proven track record of technical leadership through RFCs and architectural influence without formal authority.
• Production-grade experience using modern AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or comparable).
• Experience building high-load, multi-tenant SaaS platforms in production.

Nice to have

• Exposure to crypto custody, MPC, HSM, TEE, or key management systems.
• Experience with hardware wallet integration (Ledger) and blockchain ecosystems (EVM, Bitcoin, etc.).
• Experience with Kubernetes, service mesh, and SRE practices.
• Background in regulated environments, security audits, and threat modelling.
