Salary: $155,400 – $304,100 (Base) + Equity

What you will do

• Design and deliver secure, scalable AI integration platforms to power mission-critical automation.
• Contribute to the AI integration client ecosystem, defining how applications connect to external tools and data.
• Own backend service design for high-throughput, low-latency APIs enabling complex agent workflows.
• Set technical direction for identity, auth, and trust boundaries (OAuth, API keys, service-to-service).
• Partner with product and engineering leaders to shape the roadmap and translate business goals into platform capabilities.
• Drive production excellence through a metrics-first reliability strategy, defining SLOs/SLAs and maturing observability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with TypeScript, Deno, Node.js, or Bun.
• Strong experience designing API-driven platform services and distributed systems (microservices, event-driven patterns).
• Practical expertise building AI integration layers (MCP clients/servers, tool orchestration, API connectors).
• Deep knowledge of authentication and security patterns (OAuth2/OIDC, token lifecycle, secret management).
• Cloud-native experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco, New York City, or Seattle hubs (Hybrid).

• Experience with the Python ecosystem.
