What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of hardware engineers and design authorities to deliver high-quality embedded electronic designs.
• Oversee ownership across architecture, schematics, and PCB layout, primarily focused on Intel x86 architecture.
• Drive delivery excellence by reviewing workflows and partnering with the engineering community to simplify processes.
• Ensure designs are robust and meet all functional, quality, and lifecycle expectations through rigorous reviews.
• Coordinate technical submissions for lifecycle reviews, including documentation and safety standards.
• Collaborate with software, systems, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless hardware integration and buildability.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering embedded computer designs using Intel x86 architectures.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for complex technical challenges.
• Solid understanding of the full product lifecycle from concept through to release.
• Experience managing and mitigating technical risks within hardware programmes.
• Degree in Electronic Engineering or a closely related field.
• Must be able to meet BPSS level pre-employment screening criteria for security clearance.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of design for test and manufacture (DFx).
• Experience designing for rugged or challenging environments.
• Understanding of embedded software and hardware interaction.
• Awareness of high-speed digital design challenges.
