TL;DR

What you will do

  • Architect a next-generation data platform, optimizing Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and real-time CDC pipelines for enterprise scale.
  • Design secure and compliant partner data delivery systems via Snowflake shares, S3/SFTP, and Marketplace listings.
  • Develop mission-critical financial reporting pipelines with a focus on exceptional reliability and accuracy.
  • Establish and champion company-wide data standards for modeling, lineage, contracts, and orchestration.
  • Implement data reliability and observability systems to ensure trust across all data assets.
  • Elevate engineering rigor through architecture reviews, reusable frameworks, and mentoring peers.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering with a proven track record of owning platform-level architecture.
  • Deep expertise in Snowflake, dbt Cloud, Change Data Capture (CDC), and orchestration tools like Airflow.
  • Extensive background in external data sharing and partner integrations (S3, SFTP, Snowflake shares).
  • Proven ability to design data governance and observability systems, including data contracts and lineage tracking.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, emphasizing CI/CD, testing, and maintainability.
  • Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco or New York City.
