Location: Must be based in Milford, Michigan. This role is not eligible for relocation benefits.

What you will do

• Create and execute software behavior tests for battery management, inverter, and electric motor systems.
• Diagnose, debug, and solve complex issues related to embedded hardware and software.
• Develop robust continuous automation methods using Python and Jenkins.
• Author detailed test plans and test cases to assess software at various system levels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including controls, diagnostics, and software development.
• Perform hands-on verification in HIL and bench environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 1+ years of experience in embedded software development or testing.
• 1+ years of experience with Python scripting.
• Proficiency in reading and debugging source code in C/C++/Python.
• Hands-on experience with communication protocols and tools (Lauterbach, CAN, LIN, Vector CANoe/CANape).
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test environments.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Mechatronic, Software, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies, BDD, or TDD.
• Knowledge of applied controls theory for battery or electric motor systems.
• Experience with dSPACE ControlDesk or MATLAB/Simulink.
